What
Are We?
The Putnam Education Partnership Foundation (PEP), a completely
independent non-profit organization, was created through the
vision of two groups; the Putnam County Board of Education and
Leadership Putnam. Seeing a need for extra financial support
within the individual classroom, the two have combined their
human resources to create the Foundation committed to seeing
that
the classroom experience is enriched within our public schools. |
Why
Are We Needed?
Budget cuts, reductions and program cuts have eaten into the
effectiveness of public school systems across the country. Determined
not to allow the deterioration of Putnam County Schools, PEP
was created to help promote creativity and foster imaginative
approaches to curriculum offerings at the grassroots level: the
classroom. By offering mini-grants, we hope to encourage students
and teachers alike to make the classroom environment a rich
and rewarding experience. |
